Underwriter

Responsible for performing fraud detection and underwriting analysis of 1-4 family mortgage and consumer loans for both FFL and correspondent originations to FFL standards and regulatory guidelines.  Although not a direct supervisor, is a work leader for the loan processors/closers, providing direction and guidance for processing of loans.

Qualifications:

·    High School Diploma or GED plus 10 years mortgage loan experience or Bachelor’s Degree plus 5 years mortgage loan experience.

·    Excellent knowledge of AUS systems with knowledge of agency and HUD guidelines.

·    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·    Good interpersonal and organization skills.

·    PC skills, including loan software Outlook and Microsoft Office.

·    Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.

·    FHA-DE (Direct Endorsement), VA-LAPP (Lender Appraisal Processing Program) and familiarity with private investor and private mortgage insurance guidelines preferred.
