Standard Overdraft Practices

What are the standard overdraft practices that come with my account?

Overdraft services related to the following are not affected by your "opt-in" decision:
  • Checks and other transactions made using your checking account number
  • ACH transactions
  • Automatic bill payments

We may authorize, pay, and charge overdraft fees for the above listed types of transactions regardless of your "opt-in" decision.

For existing customers with open accounts prior to July 1, 2010 who do not opt-in, on or after August 15, 2010, we may not authorize and pay overdraft for the following types of transactions unless you ask us to:

  • ATM transactions
  • One-time debit card transactions

If the account is opened on or after July 1, 2010, you cannot be charged overdraft fees for one-time debit card transactions and ATM transactions unless you opt-in.

We pay overdrafts at our descretion, which means we do not guarantee that we will always authorize and pay any type of transaction.

If we do not authorize and pay an overdraft, your transaction may be declined.

Recurring debit card transactions are exempt and will be charged a $33.00 overdraft fee if they cause an overdraft on your account.
